چکیده
Pectin plays a major role in pharmaceutical and food industries. To date, conventional heating method was employed for pectin extraction which time-consuming method. Therefore, this study reports the effects of conditions such as microwave power (320-640 Watt), irradiation time (10-20 seconds), dilution factor (1:10 to 1:30 weight/volume) on yield from Citrus medica peels were investigated using Box-Behnken Design (BBD)- Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The experimental model shown that highest 48.8 mg per gram citron powder achieved at 480 W, 20 s, 1:10 weight/volume (w/v), close RSM predicted value (47.09%). extracted characterized terms degree esterification (51.49%), emulsion activity (40.9%), stability. presence poly galacturonic acid confirmed by FTIR, EDX, TGA studies.

Optimization of Process Conditions for Pectin Extraction from Citrus Peel
Pectin is a complex polysaccharide and natural food additive extracted from citrus peel and apple pomace in the form of brownish powder. It is widely used as a jelling and thickening agent and the food industry especially in jams and jellies. It is also recommended for use as fat replacer and also lowers blood cholesterol by increasing viscosity in the intestinal tract thus lowering cholesterol...

Background: Orange peel essential oils were obtained using supercritical fluid extraction. This method is an important high scaling extraction methods that used for extraction of plant and animal extracts. Methodology: The experimental parameters of SFE such as temperature, pressure, and extraction time and modifier volume were optimized using a central composite design after a 24-1fractional ...
متن کاملOptimization of Pectin Extraction from Passion Fruit Peel using Response Surface Methodology
Pectin from passion fruit peels was extracted using citric acid extraction. The effects of citric acid concentration from 0.05 to 0.21 % (wt/wt), extraction time from 30 to 120 minutes and extraction temperatures from 35 to 85 ̊C on pectin yield and the degree of esterification (DE) were investigated. Using the central composite design (CCD), the optimized pectin yield was 6.44 % and degree of ...
